FREQUENTLY ASKED Questions
Centennial Plaza is open 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. during non-event days. Please note that during special events, especially private events or those hosted by community organizations, hours will vary and access to specific areas of the Plaza may be limited by the event host.
Jerzee’s Café Hours:
- Sun: 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Mon – Thu: 11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
- Fri – Sat: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m.
There is a variety of programming year-round at Centennial Plaza. Programming includes:

Planning your visit to Centennial Plaza is easy and convenient by both car and public transportation. Public parking is convenient and nearby at on-street and off-street metered spaces, as well as structured parking lots and parking decks.
DECKS & LOTS
Parking fees vary by deck or lot. Most decks offer payment by credit card, but some are still cash-only. Parking rates may also vary based on the event.

ON STREET PARKING
The rate for short-term meters (2 hours or less) is 75 cents per hour. The rate for long-term meters (10 hours) is 25 cents per hour. On street metered parking is FREE weekdays after 4 p.m. and on weekends. On street parking may be limited during Plaza events.

Jerzee’s Cafe is the nearest option, located right on the Plaza, with outdoor seating that overlooks the event lawn.
The bar and grille cooks up a variety of excellent fare, including pub-style appetizers, wings, burgers and sandwiches, and pizza.

In addition to Jerzee’s Cafe, there are more than two dozen dining options for every taste and occasion downtown. From cocktail bars, breweries and coffee shops, to casual eateries and some of the finest fine dining in the region—you’ll find it all downtown with in a short walk of Centennial Plaza.

Yes! Downtown Canton has a DORA District (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area) where you can drink alcoholic beverages.
DORA BOUNDARIES
6th Street N. (north edge), McKinley Ave. (west edge), 4th Street S. (south edge) and Walnut Ave. (east edge).
Patrons may walk freely within the DORA boundaries. Blue signs mark the parameters where patrons can walk with their alcohol.
DORA RULES
- Any drinks taken to go must be purchased from participating businesses and served in the official plastic 16-ounce cup
- Carryout drinks are available noon to midnight daily during each participating business’s hours of operation
- No drinks may be carried from one establishment selling alcohol into another establishment selling alcohol
- Every business that does not sell alcohol, has the right to decide if they will allow patrons to bring in the DORA beverages
Unfortunately, animals are not permitted at Centennial Plaza (with the exception of service animals).
The Plaza itself is perfect for families! It even features an interactive play with a misting water feature and a children’s play area during the day with a play surface that provides safety to one and all.
Remember: Some special events are NOT designed for the kiddos. We suggest reviewing our Event Calendar and checking out any events that will be going on during your visit to determine if it’s a fit for your family.
Visitors to Centennial Plaza must bring their own seating, unless otherwise specified by the hosts of the special event.
The plaza can easily expand into the adjacent streets with a maximum outdoor capacity of approximately 8,100. The main Event Lawn capacity is approximately 2,500. The Social Garden has a maximum capacity of 300.
Canton Police have a regular presence, and they are the sole authority for security at Centennial Plaza.
Active CCT video surveillance is present throughout.
Enhanced lighting and public events activate the space day and night.
Increased foot traffic and activity increases public safety.
