Celebrating the NFL Centennial

On Sept. 17, 2020, David Baker, President & CEO of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, addressed a national TV audience from Canton at halftime of the Battle of Ohio, Cincinnati vs. Cleveland, to celebrate the NFL’s centennial celebration.

During halftime, the 11 player pylons with over 25,000 players who played in the NFL during its first 100 years were unveiled at Centennial Plaza.

“No other city in America has such a legacy and connection to its love of the game than Canton, Ohio,” Baker said as the pylons were unveiled.
